This Eclectic Master Bathroom begins with a custom corner entrance utilizing a frosted glass entry door. In the vanity area there are graphite stained cabinets capped with a beautiful granite countertop. We had enough space within the bathroom to offer a dual sink vanity as well as a linen closet. Underneath the granite countertop, the client chose two under mounted white sinks. Oil rubbed bronze fixtures complete the area from the vanity to the freestanding tub.

First of all in the custom built gymnasium shower, there are three separate shower heads all controlled by their own valve. In the oversized shower space we installed dual shower benches, that are topped with the same granite as the matching the countertops.  A beautiful stone tile, which is a slate looking porcelain tile, was utilized for the shower walls, accented with a multicolored pebble rock flooring.

Directly across from the shower, a small wall space was added for the bathtub plumbing fixtures.  We then utilized the same stone tile as the shower, with matching oil rubbed bronzed fixtures as well. Concrete styled flooring finishes the area, and ties all of the modernism’s together.

Bringing this condo’s full potential out with modernization and practicality took creativity and thoughtfulness. In this full remodel we chose matching quartz countertops in a style that replicates concrete, throughout for continuity. Beginning in the kitchen we changed the layout and floorplan for a more spacious, open concept. White shaker cabinets with custom soffits to fit the cabinetry seamlessly. Continuing the concrete looking countertops up, utilizing the same quarts material for simplicity and practicality in the smaller space. A white unequal quartz sink, with a brushed nickel faucet matching the brushed nickel cabinet hardware. Brand new custom lighting design, and a built-in wine fridge into the peninsula, finish off this kitchen renovation. A quick update of the fireplace and television nook area to update its features to blend in with the new kitchen. Moving on to the bathrooms, white shaker cabinets, matching concrete look quarts countertops, and the bushed nickel plumbing fixtures and hardware were used throughout to match the kitchen’s update, all for continuity and cost efficiency for the client. Custom beveled glass mirrors top off the vanities in the bathrooms. In both the master and guest bathrooms we used a commercially rated 12”x24” porcelain tile to mimic vein cut travertine. Choosing to place it in a stagger set pattern up to the ceiling brings a modern feel to a classic look. Adding a 4” glass and natural slate mosaic accent band for design, and acrylic grout used for easy maintenance. A single niche was built into the guest bath, while a double niche was inset into the master bath’s shower. Also in the master bath, a bench seat and foot rest were added, along with a brushed nickel grab bar for ease of maneuvering and personal care. Seamlessly bringing the rooms together from the complete downstairs area, up through the stairwell, hallways and bathrooms, a waterproof laminate with a wood texture and coloring was used to both warm up the feel of the house, and help the transitional flow between spaces.

Type: Bathroom Remodel

Location: Riverside, CA

Style: Spacious Contemporary

Year Completed: 2019

Designer: Jay Adams

Project Features: Oversized Shower, Dual spray zone in shower, quartz countertop, porcelain tile, free standing tub

Video Production By Classic Kitchens etc. and The Cut Shot

Project Details

This house had an already wonderfully open floor plan for the master bath, however we knew we an update would make it so much more impressive. First thing you notice is the Free Standing bathtub. What once was a bulky, dated, albeit oversized tub, is now the absolute stunning focal point of the room. Adding two wall sconces to the side walls surrounding the tub added extra lighting options, and visual interest to the space. The original cabinetry was still perfect for the home owner, so we simply topped them with an updated quartz countertop to modernize the space. In the shower, dual spray zone faucets were utilized for a more spa like feel. We used the soft look of a fabric looking porcelain tile along the shower walls, with a quartz shower seat that matches the countertops and pony wall in the space. A linear drain was used to finalize the shower space, tiling along the inside so that it blends seamlessly into the setting. On the floor we place another fabric looking porcelain tile, but in the darker tone to accent the lighter walls and tiles added throughout this gorgeous master bath.

Peninsula Style Kitchen Remodel #20 designed in a Traditional Style.

Project Description

Type: Kitchen and Guest Bathroom remodel

Location: Fontana, CA

Style: Traditional, Peninsula style Kitchen

Year Completed: 2019

Designer: Jay Adams

Project Features: Cherry wood cabinets, Cameo Pearl Quartz countertops, Black stainless steel appliances, Custom built window sill.

Video Production By Classic Kitchens etc. and The Cut Shot

Project Details

The warmth of this traditional, peninsula style kitchen is so inviting we didn’t want to leave. Starting with the Cherry wood cabinets finished in an Alder stain for a deep color tone, built with matching raised panel doors and drawers. Quartz counterrops by Daltile in a Cameo Pearl, finished with an ogee square edge profile detail. For storage space we were able to add a 45 degree cabinet in what would have been dead space, and install a lazy-susan with 3 adjustable shelves. The backsplash through the kitchen was made of the same Quarts, up through the cooking backsplash and the window sill. We did a custom build on the window sill to anchor the window into the kitchen area. Under the window is a cast iron, double bowl, undermount sink by Kohler, with a spot resistant stainless steel faucet made by Moen. Another clear upgrade was the removal of the old florescent, single light fixture, and replacement of it with multiple 4” recessed lights. Black stainless steel appliances, and crown moldings on each cupboard finish off the area beautifully. For continuity we upgraded the guest bathroom that sits just off of the kitchen, and living space, with the same cabinets and countertops, also utilizing matching fixtures and hardware. And to tie the area together we replaced all of the flooring in these, and the surrounding rooms, with a waterproof laminate that has the look and feel of a true hardwood floor.

These homeowners adore their home just the way it is, but even they had to admit when it was time to remodel their bathrooms. Bringing this beautiful space up to date gave them a whole new room to love. Just like the video says, let’s start with that tub! An acrylic, freestanding tub made by Jacuzzi, placed artfully in the corner of the room. It is 66 inches long, and almost 24 inches tall, plenty of room to relax in this soaker tub. A new pony wall behind it decked out in a porcelain tile that matches the shower, with a chrome valve and filler, and topped with a quartz mantle that matches the rest of the counter tops. Under the tub is an artsy flat pebble mosaic cut into the porcelain tile mimicking wood planked floors. The cabinets are all original, just refinished during the remodel, but topped with new custom quartz countertops from Arizona Tile. Two undermount sinks, Moen chrome faucets, custom framed mirrors, and new chrome vanity lights finish the area. Across the room you will find a make up counter that also boasts all the same materials as the vanities. The shower is stunning, shaped in the formation of a C, as you walk in and curve around as you walk in towards the single valve faucet topped with a multi-function shower head. An ebbe drain that includes a hair catch lays amongst the matching pebble mosaic flooring as under the tub area. Three 15” niches provide plenty of space for your products, with the pebble mosaic backing, and matching quartz shelves to extend the shelf space. Commercially rated 12×24 porcelain tile, and a ribbon of the pebble mosaic go from floor to ceiling. A simple foot rest in the corner, two moisture resistant, recessed lights, towel hooks in the drying area, and a new, high powered exhaust fan just add all the convenience you could ask for.

Master Bathroom Remodel # 28. A Mission Viejo bathroom with Class and Function.

Project Description

Type: Master Bathroom remodel

Location: Mission Viejo, CA

Style: Eclectic

Year Completed: 2019

Project Commercially rated Porcelain Tile, Quartz Countertop, Shower bench seat, Grab Bars.

Video Production By Classic Kitchens etc. and The Cut Shot

Project Details

A small but mighty remodel in Mission Viejo, California is now a stunning feature in this home. Let’s start with the Vanity area. An espresso cabinet topped with a white quartz counter top that houses an undermount square sink. A Moen, Voss faucet in an eight inch spread which matches the brushed nickel accents around the room. Above the vanity, sits a custom matching mirror with beveled glass and a matching front facing vanity light. The Shower is a world apart from the original shower in the home. A 3×5 foot shower donning 12”x24” commercially rated, slip resistant, porcelain tile, which looks like vein cut travertine. An accent linear band made of mosaic travertine and glass was added. The shower is tiled from floor to ceiling, and includes a rebuilt custom shower seat. Two grab bars for safety and security were added as well. For functionality we changed the small single niche that was in the space to two 15” niches. A shelf made of the same tile as the shower makes for a seamless transition. We used a frameless shower enclosure with sliding glass doors. The base of the shower includes a 4×4 curb, floated shower floor, and a hot mop shower pan. For the tile floor we designed a 2”x2” basket weave pattern, finished with an acrylic grout, using the same tile we put on walls and floor. An ebbe flow shower drain with hair catcher is a gorgeous way to center the space. Speaking of the same tile, we continued the 12×24 inch porcelain tile along the entire bathroom floor, creating a larger feel to the stunning room.
